Summer Camp 2016 Information



Summer Camp for 2016 will be at Camp Durant

Where: Camp Durant (Directions from CVLC)

When: Sun. June 19 - Sat. June 25, 2016

Load trailer: 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2016, at CVLC (dinner after TBD)

Depart: 10:45 AM, Sunday, June 19, 2016, Parkwood Baseball field

Return: 10:30 AM pick up at CVLC, Saturday, June 25, 2016 (scouts will phone).

Costs:

  • $275.00 per camper
  • $110.00 per adult (over two-deep leadership)

Summit Program Cost:

  • $550.00 per camper (Scout and Adult)

Payments:

First Payment: March 21 (at the latest)

  • $125.00 per camper
  • $275.00 per Summit participant

Final Payment: May 18 (at the latest)

  • $150.00 per camper
  • $275.00 per Summit participants

 

Schedule Release: March 31, 2016 (anticipated)

Class sign-up: Friday May 8 at 10 PM campers must have made choices

  • PLEASE review your choices with your parents and an adult Scouting leader before submitting

 

 


Programs:

  • ATV - if interested, please email Donna-Jean Keim directly by April 13th (extra $50). (donna-jean@ikeim.com)
  • The Summit Experience - a week-long adventure at the Bechtel Reservation
  • Trailblazer (Required for all new scouts);  First Aid will be offered

Training:

  • Standard First Aid, CPR, AED (extra $10.00)
  • Climbing Certification (extra $30.00)
  • Paddle Craft Safely, Swimming/Water Rescue
  • Safety Afloat, Safe Swim


Medical and other Forms:

All Scouts must complete the BSA Medical Form, parts A, B, & C (see below). The physical must have been completed within 12 months prior to the end of camp (June 25, 2016) to be valid.

You must also include a copy of both the front and back of your insurance card.

We will be collecting forms on Monday June 6 at the regular meeting. Please bring FOUR copies of each document as we will not have sufficient time to copy them at that late a date and have to provide them to various programs.

Make sure we have the following:

  1. Fully completed and updated medical forms
  2. Copies of front and back of insurance cards
  3. Participant Information Form
  4. Parental Consent Form - signed by both the Scout and parent/guardian
  5. Other forms as needed, ATV, Campership Funds, etc.
